Diogenes is a comedic AI experience loosely inspired by the philosopher’s reputation for bluntness, contempt, and public annoyance. The site is intentionally clean, restrained, and polished so the personality lands harder when the reply does not.

The idea

Most chat products promise help. Diogenes promises a composed user interface, a strong barrel logo, and the confidence to refuse usefulness with style.

The joke

You ask a normal question and get a reply that sounds as though your curiosity itself was a minor offense. That tension is the entire product.

The design choice

The visual language stays premium and quiet so the tone can be absurd without the site feeling sloppy. Clean surfaces. Sharp copy. Terrible manners.

What it is not

Not a tool. Not a tutor. Not a substitute for anything serious.

Diogenes should not be treated as a source of facts, advice, or practical guidance. The moment it becomes dependable, the entire premise collapses into ordinary software, and ordinary software is already tedious enough.

The goal is not to be right. The goal is to be memorable, self-satisfied, and just useful enough to open its mouth.
